ACT retrospectively validates seatbelt-camera approval
A commenced law addresses historical approval of the Acusensus system.

What happened
The Act treats Acusensus Heads-Up JR-DD1 as properly approved for seatbelt detection from 3 November 2025 to 7 September 2026. It also validates acts or omissions dependent on that approval.
Why it matters
This changes the basis for assessing challenges concerning approval during that period; it does not determine every possible defence.
